Earth Touch Controller

 

 

 

 

The SC3 touch screen controller has an analog to digital converter on board to convert the touch screen’s analog output to a digital signal that your computer can interpret.  The SC3 serial controller interfaces with your computer via the RS232 serial communications port (COM1, COM3 OR com4).

 The controller offers 10-bit resolution (1024 X 1024) points across the screen with a 12-bit (4096 X 4096) option available on a custom basis.

Resistive Technology

The DynaPro SC3 analog touch screen controller can decode the following Dynaclear analog resistive touch screen types.

• Dynaclear 4 wire analog resistive

• Dynaclear 8 wire analog resistive

  • User adjustable filtering for noisy environments.
  • User adjustable sampling rates from ~60 to~180 points per second
  • 10-bit A/D, for resolution of 1024x1024 points for both X and Y axis.
  • 12-bit (4096x4096) option is available on a customer design basis.
  • Low power 3.3 volt or 5 volt operation.
  • Sleep mode offering <500 µA current draw.
  • 4 and 8 wire touch screen decoding options. Mouse support is under development.
  • E²PROM for data retention after power down.

AD2 also has the capability to adjust the LCD brightness with a potentiometer connected to the inverter. Ask us for details .
